A Community in need

The Lending Cupboard meets a vital community need. We fill a gap in the continuum of health supports in Alberta by lending medical equipment to people who need it, regardless of age or income. We serve people recovering from illness, surgery or injury and those in need of end of life care.

An expanding population means an increasing need for this service in your community. And that’s where you can get involved.

Did you know that we are supported and rely on the wonderful volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours a year to keep the operations running smoothly? From serving our clients, sanitizing and repairing equipment, they are truly the backbone of our organization. Have some time and want to contribute contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

Support our increasing operating cost

The Lending Cupboard depends heavily on donations to support our operating budget. We are thankful to the generous support from those clients that understand our need and pay it forward through their personal donations.

We also receive support from a variety of services clubs. We receive an annual grant from AHS and rely on other government grants to cover our budget.

In-kind donations such as printing our brochures and donations of bottled water help reduce our hard costs and speaks to community stakeholders desire to support the organization.
